A couple of days ago, a colleague of mine (from my school) asked me to do two brooches. She wanted two dolls representing each of her son’s teachers. What do you think? For me they’re really nice, since it’s my first attempt! Let’s see if my colleague and her son’s teachers think the same…

This was the surprise I had reserved… I have some of my paintings exhibited for the first time in a bar!!! I’m very happy and excited! Thanks to Repichoca for the opportunity!
Let me show you a bit of what I’ve been doing these short holidays…
I think that by the end of this week I’ll be able to show it all to you. I’m preparing something that I don’t want to disclose yet.
I hope you like it!
New drawing, this one for Bárbara.
And it was her that gave me this idea. What do you think about it? I think I have to develop it…
And the ladybug ring that Viri ordered a long time ago… thanks for the patience!
And, while I don’t work in the online store, you know that if you want to order something just send me an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org .

In August I was in Berlin… for me it is a dream city! This city breathes art everywhere. In every neighborhood you get to see a street market, where anything is sold, like home-made food, paintings, fashion accessories, purses, sweets… Every street has something different, like a painted wall or door, a windowpane with flowers, a sculpture made of garbage, it’s really a world of inspiration! I’ve been there for 10 days and it felt like it wasn’t enough… Check out some of the many pictures I’ve taken.
By the way, I’m preparing a much more complete post about my trip to Berlin. Soon you’ll get to see it at FOTOVIAJAR, a Portuguese web page about traveling from a friend of mine.
At the several street markets I visited, I had the opportunity of knowing the work of many artists that I didn’t know of until now. Here are the websites of some of them:

I have the best husband in the whole world!
A couple of months ago he offered me the book “sew!” by Cath Kidston. And then, a few weeks later, he offered me another one: “The Handmade Marketplace” by Kari Chapin.
The first one is very practical when it comes to learning the basics of sewing. It has a lot of images and is based on tutorials. It even brings all the materials you need to sew a handbag. To find more about the author check out her page: http://www.cathkidston.eu/.
The second is the most useful book I’ve ever read. It was my reading in Turkey and I still check it sometimes. I got great advices and even took several notes, just like a student. It’s very easy to read. As I read it I felt an enormous will to work and implement all the knowledge it conveys. The author, Kari Chapin, counts with the help and wisdom of many other bloggers. To know more about Kari you can consult: http://www.karichapin.com/.
